Bournemouth development is about to get a boost thanks to plans to improve part of the town centre under a scheme that targets the building of at least 60 flats overlooking Horseshoe common, alongside new street-facing cafes. The scheme, which is a partnership between a private firm and Bournemouth council, is committed to redevelop key sites in the town centre within the next 20 years. Commenting on the new Bournemouth development plans, Dorset Police inspector Dean O’Connor said Horseshoe Common had become tired and problematic. He pointed out that the best Bournemouth development will address landscaping in the Common as well as create opportunities that will attract people to live and work in the neighborhood. Exhibition of the Bournemouth development plans was held towards the end of September at a Pavilion Dance staged behind the Pavilion Theatre, a six-hour event that also sought to get public feedback which will be taken into consideration before executing the planning application that is expected to take place in October. |
